TIN Ventures Partners with The Open University on Groundbreaking Prototyping Community Innovation Hub in Milton Keynes
We are excited to announce our partnership with The Open University on the Prototyping Community Innovation Hub project, funded by the Open Societal Challenges (OSC) grant and hosted by the MK Community Foundation in Milton Keynes. This ambitious initiative aims to create a vibrant community-driven hub where local innovators, entrepreneurs, and residents collaborate to address societal challenges through creativity, technology, and enterprise.
A Hub for Inclusive Innovation
The Prototyping Community Innovation Hub will serve as a catalyst for change, providing an inclusive space where individuals and organizations can experiment with new ideas, develop solutions, and build ventures that positively impact the community. With support from TIN Ventures, the hub will focus on:
- Empowering Local Entrepreneurs: Providing access to venture-building expertise, mentorship, and resources to help early-stage founders develop and scale impactful solutions.
- Supporting Grassroots Innovation: Enabling community groups and residents to co-create solutions that address local needs, from sustainability and digital inclusion to health and wellbeing.
- Facilitating Knowledge Exchange: Connecting local talent with academic and industry experts to foster collaboration and accelerate learning.
Our Role in the Project
As a strategic partner, TIN Ventures will bring its venture builder model to the hub, offering tailored support to budding entrepreneurs and innovators. Our team will lead a series of workshops, mentoring sessions, and networking events designed to:
- Identify and nurture promising ideas through design thinking and agile development approaches.
- Support early-stage ventures with business planning, market validation, and go-to-market strategies.
- Connect local innovators with national and international networks of investors, partners, and industry experts.
